I wish my school days could have dragged on a little longer, or that I could go back and do it later in life. ― Cara Delevingne
What are you supposed to do when you become really nostalgic about your school days? When you want to try and remember what your friends felt about you back then, or when you want to show your children or grandchildren how you were when you were their age, what CAN you do?
The answer is fairly simple. You go down to your basement, hunt around for your precious box, and from it, take out your dusty school yearbook, and flip the pages to go back to the time when you were a student. This is enough to remind you of all the fun you had, the number of times your innocent heart broke, the innumerable crushes you had, everything.
The yearbook is indeed a treasure of sorts, something that every student looks forward to at the end of every academic year. When you take a proper look at it, you can't help but feel impressed by its layout- the way the pictures have been placed, the way the cover has been designed, etc. Take a look at some yearbook ideas.

Consider These Pointers

Before you start, there are certain things that you should keep in mind for a problem-free yearbook.

  • Have a rough idea about what the yearbook should look like.
  • Plan what pictures you would like to put, and also make a rough sketch of the cover page.
  • Get some people who you think can help you with the yearbook, and build up a team.
  • Decide on a deadline and make a list of all that is required to be done.
  • Go through previous yearbooks for ideas and inspiration.
  • Motivate your team and start working!
Let us now turn to the creative ideas. These college and school yearbook ideas and tips are sure to help you in creating one of the best memoirs that everyone will treasure for years to come.

Designing the Cover

There are several cover design ideas that you can make use of. The cover of the yearbook is most important. It should contain the year of the batch, some pictures, the name of your school, etc.
The back of the cover usually contains a poem dedicated to the passing-out batch, or maybe a photo collage. You can ask your fellow students to come up with various ideas about what the cover page could be like. Give them a theme and then let them use their creativity to do various things.
Another layout idea is that you can base your cover page on any particular theme such as global warming, infant mortality, human trafficking, drug abuse, etc. and make people more aware of these situations.

What to Put In

After you have decided on the theme and the cover design, the next thing that you have to keep in mind is the content that you need to put in the pages.
On the title page, you have to add the title and maybe some pictures. You have to prepare everything beforehand. If you have decided to put in some stories or poems, then decide where they have to be placed, which picture is to be used, what type of font style would be the best for that article, etc.
You, along with your team, have to decide what to write in a yearbook. There are various sources from where you can get samples and templates. Just make sure that the articles and photos are not cluttered, and that there is enough space for the students to write something in their friends' copies.
You now have some of the best ideas which you can use when creating a yearbook for your school. Good luck with your task!
